Broncos stun Bengals with tipped pass...
On Sunday a heartbreaking silence cam down on Paul Brown Stadium. After a pass attempt to WR Brandon Marshal was tipped, Brandon Stokely found himself in a good spot. Stokley the 11 year veteran out of Southwestern-Louisiana caught the tipped pass and took it 87 yards to give the Broncos the lead 12-7. Stokely, having the the state of mind in the open field to run time off the clock, running parralel to the goal line, crossing the endzone with 11 seconds left in the closing period. Filling the T.V. shots with heartbroken Bengals players on the sideline watching as the game slips from their grasps. A low scoring affair, the Broncos had two previous field goals with 6 points, then watched while the Bengals put together a lengthy drive led by quarterback Carson Palmer putting 7 on the board. My question today is the Denver Broncos defense. Head Coach Josh McDaniels, a former defensive coach for the Patriots, brings a wealth of knowledge to this young quick Denver defense led by veteran Champ Bailey. In previous years the Bronco defense has struggled with one of the highest averages of yards per game. Is this the turning point? Was Pat Bowlen looking for a defensive spike in McDaniels to keep opponents low?? Your thoughts......
